| CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES
Zookidz is a dynamic ministry
geared for children from birth through 6th grade. We strive
not to just provide 'childcare' during our three weekend
services, but to allow children a place to grow spiritually
and an opportunity to meet Jesus. If your children are
interested in being a part of our ministry, be CAUTIONED
because your own little Zookidz might just become...
|
BIBLE BELIEVERS:
|
We are
continually emphasizing Bible Stories that impart godly
character. |
|
PRAYER WARRIORS: |
Right from the
start, we make a point of praying passionately for others in
need. |
|
GENEROUS GIVERS: |
We cheerfully
give our cash and coins to the Kingdom of Christ. |
|
SCRIPTURE SCHOLARS: |
We practice
memorizing God's Word so it can be hidden in our hearts. |
|
WORSHIP ENTHUSIASTS: |
We aren't
afraid to sing and shout how great we think God is.

Still enthused about our
ministry? Here is where your kids can PLUG IN!
CLC
is a missions-oriented church, we decided it was okay if we borrowed
the word "Waumba" from Swahili. It means "Creator" and
since our nursery is the initial place where babies will be
introduced to God and His creation, we thought it was
appropriate! Our hope is that the care they receive in their
earliest years establish a love for the House of
God forever. It is important to us that every newborn and
toddler is embraced from the moment they arrive to the time
they are picked up. We are accomplishing this by filling
our nursery with wonderful workers and volunteers who are
trained in childcare and CPR to give the optimum care
possible. Our fun, clean and engaging toys help too! We
are striving to create a safe and loving environment for our
babies to learn about the One who made it all!
"Kinder"
is German for "Little Child", and since preschoolers have
such a natural disposition for learning, our goal is
to teach them all we can about God's love. It's here
we introduce the basics of everyday living with Jesus that
we hope will stick for a lifetime. We consider ourselves
successful only when we see 3, 4 and 5 year olds discovering
that they love Jesus and they want to ask Him into their
hearts. During and up to that moment we are committed to
embracing these 'kinders' and letting them know they are
Princes and Princesses in the Hand of their Creator.
(Kinder Land is currently using
the "Critter Land" curriculum by KidzBlitz)
It's no secret
we live in Mis(zoo)la... therefore we thought it was
appropriate we created a place strictly for 1st-6th graders
that is a mini city just for them. Most days it is more like
a Zoo than a metro, but we love it just the same! This is a
radically fun environment complete with 'flying' team points,
'brain balls', Bible bucks and a kid-geared worship
experience. Our passion for elementary aged children is to
see them become young men and women of God who are deeply
devoted to their Savior. It's a radical environment
designed to impart one passion... living for God.
(Zoo City is currently using the
"Young Explorers" curriculum by Gospel Publishing House)
Waumba World, Kinder Land and
Zoo City occur just on the weekends, so we gladly offer a
reason for your kids to come back to the house of the
Lord during the week!!! Our Discipleship Program is every
Wednesday night at 6:30pm during the school year. It's a
radical way for your kids to grow in learning the things of
God...

Girls can work their way to
become an "Honor Star"... a privilege reserved only for
those who have memorized scripture and become more like
Jesus. It's never too early to immerse your girls in this
wonderful program full of life lessons and valuable
friendships.

Boys are blessed to learn
camping survival as well as how to become well behaved men
of God. There are a myriad of strong male adults who teach
the boys how to follow Christ while also helping them
navigate a compass. It's a terrific chance for life
changing lessons!
